Your Google account

If you sign in with Google, Notepace receives your name, email address, and profile picture. Your account and sign-in session are stored with the application. Google handles the sign-in screen; Notepace does not receive your Google password.

Your course progress

Notepace saves your passed quick checks, completed modules, XP, gems, and study days to your account in Cloudflare D1. That lets you return on another device without starting over. The administrator can view summary activity and control generation availability.

Notes you add to the studio

Selecting a file or pasting notes does not by itself send those notes to the generation service. PDF text is extracted in your browser. If you import Google Slides, Notepace sends the share link to its server and asks Google for a temporary PowerPoint export. It reads only the text in each slide, and the deck must be viewable by anyone with the link. When you choose Generate, the notes needed for that request are sent to the private generation worker to create the lesson.

OpenAI processes the notes needed to write your lesson. New narration is created on the operator’s computer using the local Kokoro voice model. Hugging Face supplies the model download; your notes are not sent there for narration. Older recordings were created using Microsoft’s online voice service. Avoid uploading passwords, private records, or material you don’t have permission to share.

Topics you ask us to research

If you choose Start from a topic, Notepace sends the class, unit, chapter, or topic you enter to the private generation worker. OpenAI processes that topic and searches public websites to draft a cited outline. The websites and search services involved may receive ordinary web requests related to the topic. Notepace shows you the sources and requires you to approve or edit the outline before it can become lesson notes. Don’t put private student information in the topic field.

Generated files and storage

Generated videos are private to the Google account that created them and can be accessed from that account on another device. The private worker, running on the operator’s computer, retains generation job files for up to seven days from creation under its configured cleanup policy. The operator can inspect submitted notes, researched topics, outlines, sources, and scripts in saved Codex conversations. Those conversations have separate retention and remain until the operator deletes them in Codex. Download a finished video if you want to keep it. Account information and saved progress remain in the application database; this beta does not yet provide a self-service account deletion or data export screen.

What stays on this browser

Playback preferences, background music, sound effects, and celebrations use local browser storage. Sign-in uses cookies to keep your session connected. The studio keeps your draft notes in this tab’s session storage so signing in doesn’t erase them. Clearing this site’s browser data can remove those local preferences and references.

An early product, with limits

These notes describe the current beta and aren’t a guarantee that every service is always available. There is no active billing, and Notepace does not collect payment details. Privacy information will need to be reviewed as the product changes.
